Backend Engineer

Product Engineer

Hi!

I currently work as a backend developer at Hablla, a conversational marketing company and Meta BSP. My focus has been mostly on building products. Day to day, I work mainly on data aggregation pipelines and integration with Meta API endpoints. I have experience building backend systems and a good grasp of how to implement a scalable architecture, with a focus on performance and data structures.

Today, modesty aside, I have a very broad view of the product, from getting to know several areas of the company, talking to many people and learning a lot.

My main job is to maintain the product, design the system architecture and make sure it works as it should.

I've also been working a lot with AI agents, and I'm very interested in what they make possible. I've been building several projects and pieces of software along those lines. See the projects

Experience

Backend Developer

Jan 2026 – Present

Hablla · Full-time

Development and maintenance of reporting systems and data aggregation pipelines in Go, on a heterogeneous persistence stack (PostgreSQL/AlloyDB on Google Cloud, MongoDB, Redis and Firestore/Firebase).

Integrations with the Meta ecosystem (WhatsApp Cloud API, Facebook and Instagram), including OAuth flows, template system and versioning.

Design and implementation of RESTful APIs with emphasis on performance, concurrency and correctness in critical metrics.

Own product features end to end across services (API, data model, front-end and deploys), with AI coding agents as my main implementation tool.

Intern, Support & Front-end Developer

Oct 2024 – Dec 2025

Hablla · Internship · Remote

Started in the support team for 3 months, gaining deep knowledge of the platform, its flows, APIs and third-party integrations.

Moved to the dev team as a front-end developer, building flow components and integrating third-party APIs using React, TypeScript, Redux, Redux Saga and Vite.

Participated in the development of an AI agent interface, contributing to the planning and implementation of the UI for autonomous agents.

Attended client meetings regularly, developing a strong understanding of business rules and stakeholder communication.

Background

I've actually been through many areas of technology. Since I was a kid I've been really into computers; my thing was electronics and hardware. Obsessed with robotics, I studied Mechatronics at Etec, learned the basics of mechanics and electronics and, along the way, got interested in programming logic through Arduino. What I really wanted was to build robots! I took robotics courses with Arduino at Etec itself and at UNESP. I remember meeting students who would one day be my seniors, since that was the same university where I would go on to study Computer Science, haha.

During high school, I took part in national robotics competitions and even in the Mostra Brasileira de Foguetes (MOBFOG), a national rocket competition. I noticed I had a certain affinity for engineering, but especially for designing and building systems and their architectures.

When I went on to study Computer Science, I became really interested in computer architecture. I fell completely in love with understanding how computers were designed to work, and I wanted to know what each component did and how it did its job.

I learned the fundamentals of computing and a lot of history, and joined research labs focused on parallel and concurrent programming. I did undergraduate research in them, and my thesis was fine-tuning a BERT model to identify the rhetorical structure of scientific paper abstracts! I presented the model at the main natural language processing conference in Brazil, in 2025: STIL (Symposium in Information and Human Language Technology).

I interned at the same company where I work today. I started in support, learning the system and helping customers. Three months later, I moved to the development team. There I learned to work on the front end and, a year later, I moved to the company backend.
